Statesman. Governor. Businessman. Citizen.
The William P. Clements, Jr. Papers Project aims to document the life and work of this distinguished statesman through a collaborative effort between the Clements Center for National Security and the Briscoe Center for American History, both of The University of Texas at Austin. Project staff gathered selected archival material from Clements' service in the Department of Defense and as Governor of Texas, digitized them, and created a website where students, scholars, and interested individuals may access them. The website is subdivided into two parts: Clements National Security and Clements Texas Papers.
